JDPC in collaboration with the Coalition of Women’s Associations in Ogun State(COWAOS ), commemorated the International Women’s Day 2026. The event which took place  on March 12, 2026, at JDPC Conference Hall, brought together women from diverse backgrounds, with Mrs. Modupeola Olatunde as the guest speaker. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls, “focusing on dismantling barriers to equality and promoting women’s empowerment. COWAOS emphasized the importance of investing in women’s education, skills acquisition, and economic empowerment to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.

The event highlighted challenges faced by women and girls, including gender-based violence, limited access to education and healthcare, and underrepresentation in leadership. Mrs. Olatunde’s speech, addressed these issues and encouraged collective action towards creating a more inclusive society.  Click here for more pictures!
